One of the leading tyre pressure monitoring specialists has launched its newest product, the TyrePal Solar Colour — a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) which helps to improve safety and reduce fuel consumption in motorhomes and other passenger vehicles.
When using the Solar Colour, drivers can monitor the pressure of all four tyres simultaneously, with an option to monitor the spare wheel too.
The new system is the first TyrePal product to be equipped with a colour monitor, making it more user-friendly for the driver. The system gives clear alerts for air loss, high or low tyre pressure and high temperatures and when fitted to your motorhome will save you money on our motorhome insurance policy with our five per cent tyre safety discount.
Looking after your motorhome tyres is of paramount importance to make sure you’re safe on the road and to reduce the likelihood of a tyre blowout – a common road accident claim.
The new Solar Colour is equipped with new, state-of-the-art sensors, which are more reliable and efficient. The Solar Colour’s sensors can be screwed onto the tyre valves in the place of normal dust caps, making the installation process quick and simple for the user.
It’s charged continuously by solar power, preventing unnecessary use of the vehicle’s battery. The Solar Colour also comes with a charging lead, if the device does need that extra power boost.
“The Solar Colour is an essential tool for monitoring tyre pressure and managing fuel consumption,” stated Louise Redford, customer service administrator at TyrePal. “Tyre pressure directly effects the rolling resistance of a vehicle. Correct tyre pressure can prevent the rolling resistance of a vehicle from increasing, which in turn can reduce energy consumption by up to 15 per cent.”
