The big summer getaway is still in full swing and UK campsites and holiday parks are buzzing with life.
With long airport and ferry queues, delays, and rising fuel costs, it was no surprise to see that many motorhomes will be enjoying a great British staycation this summer.
We asked owners where they would be going on their motorhome holidays this summer and 69 percent said they would be staying in the UK.
As well as a UK motorhome holiday, the second most popular motorhome destination was France with a fifth of the votes.
A longer drive down to Spain took third place, with just eight percent of the votes – tied with “other EU countries”.
Portugal came in at number five and a small two percent would be heading off to Italy.
Your motorhome holiday comments
Roger Clements said that the cost of fuel and “price hikes” and Club campsites was “adding to the pain”.
And Trevor Ling said many campsites were booked up well in advance, which was a “disappointment”.
But Raynchez told us they’d already had several motorhome holidays this year, camping at two music festivals, and there were more week-long motorhome holidays booked and several club rallies!
“We have the advantage of being retired now but even during our working lives we were out at every opportunity.”
