Probably one of the biggest decisions when buying a new motorhome is the layout and type of bed.
Last month we asked you about your sleeping arrangements by telling us what kind of motorhome bed you laid your head on at night.
Top of the motorhome beds
After more than 400 votes, top of the motorhome beds was a make-up bed with almost a quarter of the votes (23 percent). They might sometimes be a pain to makeup but they’re great for couples who want a compact van with a good living space or families who need more berths.
This was followed closely by a fixed double bed with almost a fifth of the votes and in at number three was fixed single beds, gaining 15 percent of the votes. Both of these motorhome beds don’t involve any bedmaking.
Make-up twin single beds took fourth place with 12 percent of the votes, pipping the space-saving drop-down bed with one percent less.
Those neat French beds took sixth place and a fixed island bed gained just six percent of the votes.
Sharing the lucky number seven spot were the over cab bed and the classic campervan rock and roll bed with just three percent of the votes.
Gaining a one percent share were “other” beds such as bunk beds and pop-top roof beds.
Over to you…
What do you make of the motorhome bed poll results? We’d love to hear your comments. Have your say in the box below.
Drop down beds are the best by far, They are up and out of the way during the day giving you plenty of walkaround space and at night. Just lower it down and get in
