POLL NOW CLOSED – Thanks to everyone who voted.
There’s nothing like the smell of food being cooked over a hot grill or a charcoal fire wafting across a campsite – which makes a barbecue the perfect accessory to take away in your caravan or motorhome for some al fresco dining!
Plus cooking outdoors means less chance of your ‘van smelling of food or smoke. And many modern caravans and motorhomes even come with an external gas point for a barbecue.
In this month’s poll, we’d like to know if caravanners and motorhomers like to cook on gas or on charcoal. Do you prefer the smoked flavour of food cooked over charcoal or do you prefer being able to instantly get cooking and have control over the heat on a gas barbecue? Or may be you don’t take a barbecue on your touring holidays, but opt for an electric grill or use the cooking facilities inside your leisure vehicle.
Simply, tick your preferred choice of outdoor cooking and if it’s not listed select other and add it to the comment box.
As always feel free to share more about the type of barbecue or outdoor cooking accessory you use when on your caravan and motorhome holidays. Simply add your comments in the box below.
We’ll report back the results in April.
I agree with Colin , I only use charcoal barbecues wherever I am
I like cooking outside on my camping gaz stove, enjoying the outdoors and of course a glass of wine while cooking.
It’s the flavour added to food from a charcoal fire that gives a unique taste of summer .
Otherwise one may as well use the gas cooker !
gas barbecues are more cleaner and quicker but charcoal barbecues make the meat taste better
It’s a very good point Colin!
