We are thrilled to announce that our ‘Paperless Policies’ initiative, set up in partnership with national charity, Heart Research UK, raised £12,227 in 2014, bringing the total amount raised to a staggering £35,170!
Established in July 2008, ‘Paperless Policies’ has seen us donate £1 each time a new customer chooses to receive their insurance documentation via email only. Now in its seventh year, the initiative has helped to fund pioneering research and ground-breaking projects across the UK.
Caravan Guard Managing Director, Ryan Wilby, is delighted with the initiative’s continued success, “It has been an absolute privilege helping to fund Heart Research UK’s essential work over the past few years. ‘Paperless Policies’ has proved more successful than any of us could have ever imagined; put simply, it means our customers have the option to receive their insurance documents in a fast, more efficient way via email, while also giving them the opportunity to donate to one of the UK’s most much-loved and relevant charities.”
This latest funding milestone comes as representatives from the Leeds-based charity carried out the latest series of healthy heart checks on some of the Caravan Guard team.
Volunteers from our contact centre, IT, administration, claims and marketing department were assessed, each receiving personalised advice and information on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Heart Research UK National Director, Barbara Harpham, said, “We’re delighted that Caravan Guard, through its customers, has managed to raise such an impressive amount through its ‘Paperless Policies’ initiative to support our important work. All funds raised locally are spent locally, and in the last 15 years we have given out over £4.2m in Yorkshire on research and community healthy heart grants.”
We are confident that ‘Paperless Policies’ will go on to raise even more money and are targeting to generate £15,000 for Heart Research UK over the next 12 months!
Those who opt-in to receive paperless insurance documents can also save an extra 10% on caravan insurance when buying online, check out the tourer page for details.
