POLL NOW CLOSED – Thanks to everyone who voted!
When it comes to putting up your awning there are often different ground conditions to contend with. And using the right pegs for the ground you’re pitching on to will help to make sure your awning is set up for maximum strength.
In this month’s community poll, we’d like to know if you use different pegs when pitching? Do you simply use the ones supplied with your awning or do you have a box of mixed pegs for different conditions?
We’d also love to hear your comments about awning pegs and pitching in different conditions.
We’ll report back with the results in April and if you want more information about the different kinds of pegs available check out our guide to awning pegs as well as our video on how to peg out your awning on different pitch types.
Thanks for voting!
Last summer I saw an awning uprooted in strong wind because the owner had used steel pegs on grass which were simply pulled out by the wind. Those using plastic grass pegs held firm.
