Thanks to everyone who voted in last month’s caravan and motorhome holiday poll, which returned an expected result.

We asked owners if going away in their caravan or motorhome was their main holiday, or if they used their leisure vehicle for short breaks throughout the year.

After more than 340 votes we can reveal the results…

It really wasn’t a surprise that the vast majority of caravanners and motorhomers said going away in their leisure vehicle was their main holiday, with a huge 92% of the votes. Proof that owning a caravan, campervan or motorhome gives you the freedom to pack up your home on wheels and set off wherever – and whenever – you want to go!

Just 8% of voters said they go caravanning and motorhoming occasionally – maybe mixing it up with a package holiday or simply going on short breaks throughout the year.

Brian John Stacey said their holidays were mixed between cruising and motorhoming

“We love them both,” added Brian.

Gill Chester told us they used their motorhome for their main holiday and shorter times away in between.

“We love the freedom to stay put or move on, to explore places while we’re on our journey,” she commented. “We carry electric bikes so we can get about easily, often cycling to and from the start our walks. Our motorhome is our second home – but it’s a moveable one!”

In just less than three years, Richard Mercer told us he had spent over 400 nights in his motorhome: “Four trips to Spain plus extensive travel in UK,” said Richard. “It’s a way of life!”
