The husband and wife team who started up Caravan Guard, and our sister company Wilby Ltd, have been presented with a joint Lifetime Achievement Award after 25 years in insurance.
Peter and Nora Wilby were honoured for their contribution to Business at the Halifax Courier Business Awards.
The winner of the award was kept a secret until the announcement and the surprise on Peter & Nora’s faces was evident to all present as they were welcomed by a standing ovation to pick up the award. Peter, who remains Chairman of Wilby Ltd and Managing Director of Caravan Guard, said
“The award came as a fantastic surprise to both Nora and myself, we are proud to see the businesses which we founded continue to flourish.”
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented by BBC Look North News presenter Clare Frisby, and was the highlight of a record breaking evening with almost 400 people in attendance at The Venue, in Bowers Mill, Barkisland.
