Take a look at the new Bailey in our list of the best luxury caravans for 2022 here
A key feature of the new 5 berth Bailey Pageant Bretagne is its separate children’s bedroom, with sliding door and four beds, three of them arranged as triple bunks.
This layout is bound to prove a huge hit with youngsters because it gives them their own separate space.
Some will question who would want to sleep on the floor two bunks. Well, we reckon they will – it’s the holiday den effect that kids love.
Each bed also gets it owns reading light and the top two bunks have wooden slats.
And if you’re only taking two children with you, the bottom bunk can be folded upwards creating a large storage space.
It’s big enough to house two small bikes and the area also gets an overhead locker which could be used for toys.
The kitchen area gets a four-burner hob and its 115-litre fridge has a removable icebox that allows for more space if needed. The glass-topped hob and removable plastic drainer help give you more room when needed.
The seats in the lounge area make comfortable beds, they’re fully sprung and rest on sprung wooden slats. The cabinet has the conventional arrangement whereby you pull out further slats which allow you to make this area into a double or two singles.
The Pageant has a bright and spacious feel due to the big Heki rooflight in the lounge and mini Hekis in each room. The caravan’s wider body shell helps create this spacious feel too.
We love the subtle colouring of the ‘Hilton’ upholstery on the sofas, especially with the teal colour picked out in little squares. Many of you will know that the last incarnation of Pageant was all golds and oranges and it’s good to see cooler tones.
We recommend you take a look at the optional ‘Savoy’ pack which has a modern floral fabric in similar colours and a luxurious, deeper pile carpet.
Verdict:
The Bailey Pageant Bretagne offers a family-friendly layout that will get the big thumbs up from the kids. It’s part of Bailey’s best looking range and also gets AL-KO ATC trailer control as standard, which is a bonus.
