The Broadway EK end kitchen motorhome is a new addition to the Auto-Sleepers range.
It’s based on the previous Sigma but gets darker woodwork with chrome handles and bolder exterior graphics.
A recessed-awning complete with awning light is neatly built in to the offside of the vehicle and once you climb aboard you may be surprised at how much kit its end kitchen has to offer.
There’s a built-in microwave (part of the £684 Launch Pack), a bin on the door, three gas burners, one electric hotplate and a shiny Brabantia kitchen roll holder.

Add to that a decent-sized cutlery drawer, 86-litre fridge and speakers above for the basic radio/CD-player and that completes what is a compact but functional kitchen area.
In the washroom there’s a swing-wall arrangement to close off the shower from the rest of the room, and it feels sturdy and well built. There’s also a pull-out clothes drying rack that sits alongside the chrome towel hooks, handles and toilet roll holder.
The Launch Pack also includes a 15in flatscreen TV/DVD with Freeview, solar panel and reversing camera. The optional TV sits on a wall-mounted bracket. Curtains enclose the cab instead of blinds, which may seem a little old-fashioned to some, but they do the job.
The Broadway’s washroom
The lounge is the best bit – the nearside dinette has two forward-facing belted travel seats, with a well-constructed and padded support between them. A low bulkhead between the dinette and cab, and a big Heki, ensure the lounge is spacious and airy. You’re also free from the constraints of a railed table; the free-standing one lives in the wardrobe.
The whole of this practical lounge area converts into a huge double bed. A safe under the front bench is a useful inclusion and magazine pockets on the wardrobe and back of the cab seats are a free option.

The overcab sleeping solution folds out into a small double; it’s best suited to kids, but would accommodate one adult as long as they didn’t have any claustrophobic tendencies – there’s no window and headroom peaks at just 460mm (18in).
Verdict:
If you spend more time relaxing in the lounge than you do fussing in the kitchen, then this is the layout you’ll want. That’s not to say the kitchen isn’t practical, but the lounge area that makes up into that huge bed is the real draw here. Couple that with the superb on-the-road performance and you’ll be happy campers!
