The latest caravan safety device, AL-KO ATC, has won praise from Bath University Mechanical Engineering department – seen as leaders in testing vehicle safety devices.
After monitoring trailer instability via a special trailer connected to ATC, Dr Jos Darling who leads the team at Bath commented, “There’s no doubt the ATC system represents a significant new approach to caravan safety”.
Several manufacturers including Bailey, Fleetwood and Avondale are fitting the ATC device as standard on some of their models. Swift Group have also said that ATC will be offered as an optional extra on their caravans as well.
