Eriba’s Touring models can trace their roots back some seven decades, yet today’s versions are as modern as ever, with recent range additions like the 620 here representing some of the largest units produced – but also the most expensive.

That body shape – and indeed the underlying construction, with its unique internal framework – is what gives any Touring its icon status. It’s particularly aerodynamic – lower than most, but also with a pointed, two-windowed front that helps it slip through the air that bit easier. Plus it boasts an extra-long drawbar, which not only gives a better towing performance but is also capable of taking a bike rack.
Paying a price for individuality
Living up to its name in more than one way, the 620 comes with the Legend pack as standard for the UK – which means the bodywork is offered in white, with silver options. There’s an even heftier premium to pay if you want any of the gold, red or blue exterior colour schemes. But don’t think your financial outgoings stop there.
The extensive optional extras list is an opportunity to tailor your Eriba Touring 620 caravan to your exact needs, or a cheeky way of making you part with ever more money – depending on your point of view.
As standard, the 620 is a two-berth, featuring twin inward-facing settees at the back that combine to make a 2.10m x 2.00m/2.05m double bed, or they can be left as singles. In daytime mode, they’re joined by a chunky free-standing table.
The rising roof shown here might cost a hefty premium, but it also offers two more sleeping berths, in the form of a 2.00m x 1.38m double bed.
It’s actually otherwise a straightforward caravan layout, albeit the other way around to what we’d expect here in the UK.
The kitchen is across the front, with a two-burner hob, the standard offering – again, the cooker you can see here is from the options list.
There’s also a sink with loose cover and a more than decent amount of permanent worktop, as well as open upper-level shelving to all three sides, and a soft-close cutlery drawer among some extensive under-counter locker storage.
There’s also a 133-litre Dometic dual-hinged fridge with freezer compartment and locker above.
Heating and hot water are via Truma’s trusty Combi 4, but it’s powered by gas only as standard.
The washroom includes a bench toilet (rare these days, but easier to clean around compared to swivel-bowl counterparts), along with an inset handbasin in contrasting black. An opaque window means you get optimal ventilation, while storage – all low-level, apart from the shelf over the window – includes a locker and open shelving.
The room has a solid door, the back of which features handy towel/clothes rails.
There’s a wardrobe outside the washroom, which has four shelves as well as hanging space.
As you might have expected, as well as the exterior look, the Eriba Touring 620 isn’t without its quirky features. For example, the high-level lockers – all easy to open – are hinged at the bottom. It also has more than its fair share of nifty little storage pockets, hooks etc.
But that options list also covers items that give any Eriba Touring its distinct personality – like the front stone guard protector, the external chrome trimwork, stainless steel bumper, wheel trims and more. And that’s where you come in…
