Bailey goes into the 2025 season with four models in its flagship, wide-bodied Alicanto Grande Deluxe caravan series with this, the Alvor, its latest addition. Sure enough, there’s plenty of caravan for your money here, including a lot of luxury.
An island double bed is common to all four Alicanto Grande Deluxe caravans, but here in the Alvor, it’s transverse and accompanied by an L-shaped front lounge and full-width end washroom.
Let’s take a look around the 2025 Bailey Alicanto Grande Deluxe Alvor caravan:
It’s nearly 8m from hitch to rear, with a considerable tail overhang, but you do get the on-road assurance a twin axle brings. Alternatively, this is the kind of caravan you might simply want to pitch permanently.
Champagne is the official name for the colouring in the new exterior graphics on the Bailey Alicanto Grande Deluxe Alvor caravan.
It has the usual Bailey three-window front with the central unit extending up and over the roofline, which translates into lots of daylight (and ventilation), especially for the lounge area.
As well as its L-shaped settee arrangement, that roomy lounge gets a handy footstool.
Add in the bolsters and scatter cushions and you know it’s all going to be very comfortable here. There’s a small window next to where the TV goes – it’s a feature you won’t see in other such lounges.
You’ll need to add your own TV, though, to the mounting bracket and wiring already in place on the offside. Entertainments otherwise are more than well catered for – with a Status 570 television aerial and portable Sonos wireless speaker, plus Avtex on-board wi-fi system. Also, there’s a charging pad with USB-A and -C ports.
Unsurprisingly, Bailey turns to Alde for the central heating and hot water system in the Alicanto Grande Deluxe Alvor.
It’s an extensive kitchen, too. There’s no need for a worktop extension because it’s all here.
The inset circular sink has a loose cover that can also double as a chopping board. It’s a full cooker, of course, with Bailey’s trademark worktop cover over the hob’s glass lid.
Kitchen storage should hold few concerns, too, with plenty of lockers above and below – but the low-level location for the flat-bed microwave oven is rather curious as well as being a space-stealer.
More practical is the pull-out chrome racking to the right of the cooker. A Thetford 156 litre fridge, with 29-litre freezer, sits across the corridor.
That main bedroom is supremely comfortable. The island double is 1.90m long and a class-leading 1.53m at its widest point. It’s also retractable, should you want easier access to the washroom beyond. There are also bedside tables either side, each with two drawers and a locker.
Overhead are lockers and open shelving.
Also, there’s a dresser unit at the foot of the bed, plus a wardrobe with two hanging rails. Daylight comes from the single window and, overhead, a rooflight. The’s also a TV holder in place here.
Beyond the Alvor’s bedroom, the full-width end washroom is accessed via a sliding door.
There’s room for a large-scale shower cubicle, all fully-lined, with the showerhead on a riser bar, but only one drainage point. The drop-down rail for wet clothing will also come in handy, however.
There’s also a central countertop handbasin, plus a swivel-bowl toilet.
Other washroom fittings are in keeping with the Grande Deluxe name – an opening window, radiator-cum-towel rail, oval mirror, and a good mix of lockers, supplemented by hooks.
Standard S7 tracking device, PIR alarm, Al-Ko Secure axle wheel lock and ATC electronic anti-snaking device will certainly help keep the cost of insuring this luxury caravan down. And as with all Bailey caravans, there’s a full range of Alicanto accessories available via its Prima Leisure retail arm.
Everything has been thought of in the new Alicanto Grande Deluxe Alvor caravan. It just leaves you with sourcing a capable towcar.
