In the world of Adria motorhomes, Supreme stands for its highest trim level, while DL denotes a double dinette lounge (sister model SL has a more conventional L-shape settee/double travel seat), with two single beds over a garage at the back.
Rather than a reference to overall length, Adria uses the term Compact to tell you it’s a narrow-bodied motorhome, in this case just 2.12m from side to side. The Adria Compact Supreme DL motorhome is a four-seater that sleeps three, although it’s a rather unusual travel arrangement behind the cab.
Let’s take a look around in this walkthrough video:
A small lounge here has inward-facing settees either side of a fixed leg pedestal table, along with the swivelled cab seats for on-site use.
The table top is hinged to allow easy access to and from the seating; it also has full height, fore and aft adjustability. Both settees convert to single seats for travel – the nearside a conventional enough forward-facing unit, but on the offside the passenger travels facing the rear.
The sleeping arrangements in the Adria Compact Supreme DL motorhome are also slightly unusual. There’s a typical enough end bedroom area set over the garage below – you can have two singles here or, by adding an infill, it’s easy to make a double. Whichever you choose, you get very comfortable mattresses boasting a number of wellbeing properties – anti-bacterial, anti-static, non-toxic, anti-odour – plus zipped covers that are removable for washing.
There are three steps up to bed, the middle one has a hinged lid to provide some handy storage. More storage comes at the foot end of each bed, where you get a large cupboard area on one side and a low-level wardrobe on the other.
Over the lounge is a drop down bed with same-style mattress, but it’s only a single.
The Compact Supreme DL’s kitchen starts with a hallmark Adria feature, a space-saving hob with three burners in a line, from Dometic. It’s combined with a large sink at right angles, which leaves some permanent worktop.
The Thetford combined oven and grill sits next to a trio of drawers, while over the worktop area there’s some fixed racking for spice jars and the like, plus overhead lockers.
The fridge is an 84-litre compressor model as standard.
The washroom has some clever features, too, starting with its space-efficient tambour door. Also, in here is a rail for wet clothing etc.
There’s no window, but there is a large mirror. Key features are the countertop basin and Thetford swivel-bowl toilet, while the clever bit is the basin is on a hinged wall that pulls around to create a fully-lined shower cubicle, with the shower itself on a riser bar.
A Supreme champion!
As well as all-round build quality, this Adria Compact Supreme DL motorhome boasts plenty of attractive yet practical details. Simple push-to-open operation for the overhead locker doors, individually switched reading maps with USB sockets to folding head sections for the rear beds, the almost full-width Sky-roof in the overcab area, and plenty more. The latter is fixed, while there’s a wind-up sunroof over the lounge, for when you want extra ventilation.
Supreme spec’ level means an all-silver bodywork (officially, Artense Grey metallic) as well as plenty more. Those side panels are aluminium, though, compared to the GRP Adria uses for its more conventional coachbuilt models. Note, also, the habitation door is on the UK offside.
Adria’s All Inclusive Pack includes leisure battery, rear view camera, gas and electric Truma Combi boiler, TV bracket, loose carpets, oven/grill, awning and more and comes as standard. You may want to consider the Fiat Luxury Pack, though, which adds automatic transmission, electric handbrake, infotainment system with touchscreen display, leather steering wheel, LED headlamps, alloy wheels etc. There are still a fair few factory-fitted options you’ll want to consider if your budget allows.
There are lots of base vehicle engine and gearbox choices, too. The standard offering is the 140bhp unit with manual transmission, while automatic transmission, as here, commands quite a premium if you don’t want the whole Fiat Luxury Pack.
It’s no lightweight, though. Mass in Running Order tips over 3,000kg, before any other factory-fitted options are added. That only partly explains why the Adria Compact Supreme DL packs plenty of punch.
