The Coachman Laser 650 twin-axle caravan is designed with an island bed against the rear wall, which has a padded headboard and over-bed lockers.
There are wardrobes and storage at each side of the bed, which lifts up for more storage and there’s also a facility for a wall mounted television at the foot of the bed. Mock blinds at the windows add a touch of luxury.
The unusual cross-mounted shower room is accessed by sliding doors from each side of the bed, necessarily so as there isn’t much space to move around the bed.
The shower size is slightly restricted as it’s over the wheel arch, but there’s a heated towel rail for the ALDE heating system and a large built-in linen bin. A door leads to the well-equipped central kitchen with a large fridge freezer with a piano-black door, a microwave in a dedicated cupboard, sink and drainer with a glossy black lid and a dual fuel hob with oven and grill. There’s good storage space, including a dedicated cocktail cabinet, and an Omnivent three-speed extractor fan.
The living area has the usual parallel seats with sculptured arm rests and plump scatter cushions on the sofas, which lift up for more storage. There’s a dedicated mains socket and television point just inside the door and if you need more than the integral pull-out table, within the chest of drawers, there’s a free-standing table.
Let’s not forget the underfloor insulated water tank with a 36 litre capacity and there’s even a light on the offside for easy management of the water services on site.
AL-KO ATC, AL-KO AKS 3004 stabiliser, AL-KO Secure receiver and a remote control alarm system with PIR and tilt and two AL-KO Secure Wheel locks, combined with Phantom Pro-Active 3 satellite tracking system (with 12 months subscription) and an AL-KO safe, are standard fittings making a well-protected purchase and this may reflect well in the insurance cost of the Coachman Laser 650.

who thought it would be a good idea to put the toilet in the middle so if you have a guest staying on the front bed and using the toilet you will be unable to get out of the rear bedroom without compromise. a lot of vans are going for this layout. MADNESS.
Yes we have seen this layout a few times this season. One for people to consider before buying!
